Joe Tommaro: Race of My Life

“I must admit, I was very skeptical about cPRIME, and to be honest I cannot explain how it works. All I know is that; I had the race of my life and crushed the course in a way that was totally unexpected.
I had been training very diligently for the Cactus Rose 50mile trail race and had absolutely put in the effort to succeed. But that said – I was venturing into the unknown. It’s a very challenging course and the kind that could humble you very easily. Based on my training, I was shooting for a time between 10:30 and 11:30, and a Top 10 finish. Well, I not only met those goals, but dramatically exceeded them. I finished in 10h and 4m, and placed 4th overall. What’s more amazing was that at 47 years old I was by far the oldest competitor in the Top 5 (places 1-3 were 20-30 year olds).
My split times were very close together (5 hours for the first loop and 5h 10m for the second) and I felt strong in the second half of the race despite numerous falls, leg cramps and nausea. Yes, I enjoy and have a passion for this stuff, but it was a day to remember. Something gave me the “edge” that day and it had to be cPRIME. You have to put in the time and training to get results, but there is something to be said for the mental focus and balance that cPRIME brings to the table. Just call me a skeptical believer!”
